Found in the Falls was, ahem, founded in 2021 by a couple who moved to the Niagara Falls, Canada, and was disappointed to discover no proper city guide existed. No way to tell what was tourist nonsense and what was worth your money; no reviews of new local restaurants; no comprehensive website to share the city’s hidden gems and take visitors beyond the guidebooks.
That’s why we created Found in the Falls: your expert local guide to everything Niagara Falls.
We personally have visited every restaurant, tourist attraction and local landmark featured, and pride ourselves in writing honest, authentic reviews that don’t just try to sell you on everything. Not all tourist traps are worth your money; not all restaurants are actually good.
Found in the Falls is a resource for tourists and locals alike. We have an unofficial mandate to promote small businesses, guiding visitors to less-visited areas, including Queen Street, Main Street and anywhere off the tourist trail, as often as possible.
As domestic tourism returns in a post-pandemic world and the city of Niagara Falls begins to experience significant population growth, spotlighting local businesses and neighbourhoods will become only more important.
